"You Never Know"
Updated: May 9, 2018
One final thought for 2017 as we head to New Year's Eve 2017....
One "saying" that has stuck with me for many years now is "you never know". I'm not sure why, but this phrase comes up on conversation after conversation throughout 2017 with many people, from all walks of life, from business to personal, who run businesses and those starting them.
During 2017, I've met some very wonderful people who have impacted my life, all for the better and way too many to mention....you all know who you are! I am forever thankful and grateful for there time, their trust and their willingness to listen, even when times are tough. And there will alway be tough times.
But as we head into 2017, may this same phrase stick with you (like one of those jingles that you can't get out of your head no matte what)...."YOU NEVER KNOW". You truly don't know what will occur in the next few hours, days or weeks or 2018. Yes, we can plan, but we can't plan for the unplanned, good and bad. We can only deal with the unplanned in a way that maximizes the "return" we get from it.
Don't choose to be victim of circumstances. Learn from them, wring every last bit of juice from them and make the most of it. You never know when you'll meet your next client/customer, when a fire will break out in your facility, when your best client pulls out for unknown reasons, when your best employee decides to leave, when something at home happens and affects your business, or when the largest opportunity you've ever seen is dropped into your lap...embrace them all!
May 2018 be a wonderful year for you and yours!
